Revenue & receipts
The nightly ledger, where every receipt lives, and how to match the night to the drawer and to Stripe.
What the nightly ledger shows
Revenue shows each night as a ledger: admits by how they got in (list, ticket, member, walk-up), cover by cash, comp and card, ticket sales, and who worked the door. A typical Friday reads: 212 admits, 90 cash covers at $10, 40 card covers, 50 comps (32 members, 14 promotion, 4 guest of the house), 32 tickets, scanned by two Door Managers. The ledger is final once the night ends.
What has a receipt
Every transaction: cover charges (including cash and comp), ticket orders, booking deposits, membership payments, refunds and payouts. A receipt shows the venue, the night or item, the amount, how it was paid (cash, comp with its reason, or card), any fees, the time, and for cover, which staff member took it at the door.
Where you find receipts
In Revenue, by night or by date range, and on the visitor's record in Audience. A regular who's been in twelve times has twelve cover receipts on their record.
Where guests find theirs
The confirmation text for a ticket, booking or membership links to the receipt. Booking and membership receipts also live on the guest's booking page or membership page.
Matching the ledger to the drawer and to Stripe
Cash cover on the ledger should match the cash in the drawer at close: 90 cash covers at $10 means $900. Card cover and ticket sales match your Stripe balance and appear in Revenue › Payouts as they pay out. Comps are listed with their reasons, so a night where half the room was comped is explained line by line rather than showing up as missing cover. Get paid →

Why receipts can't be deleted
Receipts are permanent. An event, booking or visitor with money attached can't be deleted; it can be canceled or archived, and the receipt stays. That's what lets the ledger for a night six months ago still add up.
