Door & tickets
Create an event
Create the event for a night, share its page, and know what happens to it after the night.
An event is one night at your venue: a name, a date, a start time and a room. Guest lists, tickets, cover, promotions, the flyer and the scanner are all set up on the event, so creating it is the first step for anything you do on a night.
Creating the event
- Open Events and choose New.
- Give the night a name, a date, a start time and a cover image. Add a description and a lineup if you have one.
- Set the age policy (the default from Settings › Door is filled in) and tonight's cover price.
- Save. The event is live with its own page at
mosh.events/event/‹id›.
From the event you can then:
- Add a guest list so a promoter or birthday host fills it from their phone. Guest lists →
- Sell tickets in tiers with caps. Sell tickets →
- Run a promotion such as free entry before 11 for the first 100 RSVPs. Promote an event →
- Make a flyer from the details you just entered. Promote an event →
What the event page shows
Every event has a public page with the details, the flyer, an RSVP button and tickets if you're selling them. Share the link anywhere. Guests who RSVP or buy get their entry code and a reminder by text before doors.
What the door uses on the night
Open tonight's event in the Mosh app on an iPhone. Everything set up on the event is there: the lists, the tickets, tonight's cover price, the promotion, and the members who show up. Check in guests and take cover →
What happens after the night
The event moves to Events › Past. Its ledger (admits, cover, tickets, who worked the door) is final, the photo gallery can be published to the guests who were there, and the event page stays up. An event with money on it can't be deleted; it stays in Past with its receipts. Revenue & receipts →
Events created by bookings
When a private booking is confirmed, Mosh creates an event for it on the Calendar with a guest list the booking's contact fills. The door treats it like any other night. Take private bookings →
