Door & tickets
Sell tickets
Tiered tickets sold from the event page and redeemed with one scan at the door.
Requirements
- An event. Tickets are set up on it and sold from its page. Create an event →
- A verified venue with payouts connected. Ticket sales are card payments. Get paid →
Setting up ticket tiers
Open the event and go to Tickets. Add tiers, each with a price, a cap and optionally a sales window:
| Tier | Price | Cap | On sale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Early bird | $15 | 100 | Until the Monday before |
| General | $20 | 300 | Until doors |
| VIP | $40 | 50 | Until doors |
Tickets appear on the event page the moment a tier is live.
How guests buy
Guests buy on the event page with a card. While they're on the payment screen the tickets are held for them for 10 minutes, so a tier can't oversell in the last rush. They get the ticket by text as a QR code, plus a reminder before doors. Ticket revenue lands in your Stripe balance.
What happens at the door
Scanning the ticket's QR redeems it and checks the guest in, in one motion. A ticket can't be redeemed twice; a second scan shows when it was used. The tier shows on the scan, so VIP tickets get the VIP treatment without a separate list. Check in guests and take cover →
Early access for members
A membership tier with the Tickets perk sees tickets on the event page before general release. Launch memberships →
When a tier sells out
When a tier hits its cap it shows sold out. If the next tier has a sales window that's already open it takes over, so Early bird selling out on Friday night hands over to General automatically. Caps can be raised or lowered at any time.
Refunding a ticket
Refund an order from Revenue. The ticket is voided and the QR stops scanning. Refunds →
