Guest lists & check-in

Lists fill themselves.
The door just scans.

Each list belongs to a host, the promoter, the birthday guest, the booking's contact, who adds names from their phone. On the night, one scan checks a guest in and shows who they are: on a list, a ticket holder, a member, a walk-up. The ledger records which list every admit came from.

Why it pays

Hosts do the typing. The scanner does the checking.

0 typed

Nobody at the venue types a name

Hosts get a link by text and fill their own lists. No spreadsheet, no DM thread, no clipboard at the door.

48

The promoter brought 48. You know it.

Several lists run on one night and the scanner searches all of them at once. The ledger says what each list produced.

Door-only

Door staff see the door. Owners see the money.

A Door Manager gets the scanner and tonight's lists and nothing else. The scanner applies the rules the dashboard set.

How it works

A list is a link. A check-in is a scan.

  1. 1You

    Add a list

On the event: a name (Maya's birthday), the host's phone number, optionally a cap. The host gets a text with their link.

    Maya's birthday · cap 20 · link sent
  2. 2Host

    Adds names from their phone

The list updates live in your dashboard. Everyone on it gets a text before doors with the event details and their entry code.

    15 names · updating live
  3. 3Door

    Scans

The code from the guest's text, or their ID. The scan says who they are, whether they're already in, what applies tonight and what they owe. Tap Check in.

    On Maya's list · $0 · Check in
  4. 4Mosh

    Records it

Time, how they were identified, who scanned them, which list. A wrong tap is reversed from the guest's row, and the ledger keeps both entries.

One night, worked through

Four lists, two scanners, 212 admits.

A promoter, two birthdays and a private booking.

The booking's 30 show as 30 admits under the booking, not 30 anonymous walk-ups. The promoter's 48 is a number you can pay against.

The rules

What the door can do without you.

  • Without a scan

Search by name or phone number. The search covers every list on tonight's event, ticket holders and members at once.

  • Groups

A member's plus-ones or a booking's guests check in together under the person who brought them.

  • Age

Scanning an ID reads the date of birth against the event's age policy (21+ by default). Mosh doesn't keep the image.

  • Caps and closing

Cap a list at a number of names. Close it to stop the host adding more without removing anyone.

  • Roles

Owner, Admin, Door Manager. Door Managers don't see revenue, settings, Audience or other nights.

  • The app

The scanner is in the Mosh app on iPhone; the web dashboard doesn't scan. Get the app.
